Trend?? No, the Skinny Pant is here to stay

Years ago when the skinny pant covered the runways and IT clothing stores, people were saying it was just a trend, but the Skinny Pant is here to stay. Each season they get more fabulous than the last....

Even better than the Skinny pany is the Union of the legging and the Skinny.... Especially when there is leather involved. Riding lines are another great detail to add to this pant and believe it or not.... GAP has a cheap amazing jean version, if they are not already sold out. And look at the knees on the ones below, I want them!

Sky High buckled boots

Its fall so of course boots are everywhere, but what Im loving are all the high strappy, buckled boots I am seeing.  

The first pair are my fave's... which is why I own them! Looks like I am not the only one as they are seen here on Carrie Underwood. They are the Jenna boot from Bebe coming in black and beige and cost around $300. Triple buckled to add a metalic flare and can be tightened at the top or bottom. The 1.25" platform and the 5.5" all together heel make them a little tough for the cobblestone yaletown streets but the look is worth it. 

Next we have a high and low priced version. The Giuseppe Zanotti have the 3 buckled details and a 1/2" hidden platform. They can be found at www.shopbop.com for $1,250. If you don't have a spare grand to spend on boots than the Harrington from Nine west is available in Cognac and black(shown) leather and is only $189

The Style Spy

Yeah!!! My first blog.... I've been meaning to start this for, um about 4 months now. But its done.. here it is... and more to come. Here's a write-up that Erica from the Style Spy did about ME last week.



A favourite here at The Style Spy, Girl of the Week COURTNEY WATKINS was responsible for the fabulous styling at The Style Spy's fashion show back in June. After studying at FIDM in LA (that's the school Lauren goes to on The Hills), Courtney spent time in La La Land working with the cast of Laguna Beach, on Madonna's Confessions tour and with Paula Abdul. Now back in her hometown of Vancouver, Courtney is a freelance stylist as well as a media maven for LELA Designs.

What are you wearing: Grey Aldo booties, red skinny Joe Jeans, Young Fabulous and Broke shirt and a Forever 21 jacket.

My favorite designers: Dolce & Gabanna, Roberto Cavalli & Tom Ford.

My favorite labels: For Love & Liberty, LaROK, Comme des Garcons, Ksubi, Diesel and I can't forget LELA Designs.

My favorite stores or shopping places: Some favorites are CoutureCandy, INTERMIX, Kitson and The Beverly Center. There is so many great shops in LA I could go on forever. Oh and my guilty pleasure Forever 21.

What's your go-to look: A cute dress with Mary Janes or boots. It's so easy to throw on and you're guaranteed to look smashing!

What would you never wear: Never say never when it comes to fashion. A couple years ago I couldn't have imagined myself in anything high-waisted and now I'm obsessed.

What can you never get enough of: Clothes in general. And shoes and accessories.

Your most prized accessory: I love all my accessories but my most prize would be my mom's 1st wedding ring. PS. She's still married to my Dad, just upgraded rings! 

Favorite girls with style: Fashion-forward Kate Moss, super chic Sienna Miller and the effortless Nicole Richie who still looks fabulous even at 5 months pregnant.
